Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a dinghy, a Zodiac and a RIB?

Dinghy is the generic name for a small tender. Zodiac is a French brand whose name became a synonym for inflatable boats. A RIB combines a rigid hull (fibreglass or aluminium) with inflatable tubes: it performs better and lasts longer than a folding inflatable. In practice, most "dinghies" sold today are small RIBs.

Which dinghy do I need for my boat?

It depends on where you will stow it and how many people are aboard. Rule of thumb: davits or platform → 2.4–3.2 m RIB; locker → folding air-deck inflatable; day trips too → 3.3 m or more with 15-25 hp. Our buying guide walks you through it step by step.

PVC or Hypalon (CSM)?

PVC is cheaper and fine if the boat sleeps covered or in a garage. Hypalon (CSM) withstands sun, heat and years far better: in the Mediterranean, if the dinghy lives outdoors, the price difference pays for itself. The whole Navisoul range we sell can be built in Hypalon.

Do you only sell Navisoul or other brands too?

We sell the Navisoul range as an official partner of Caral Marine, its exclusive distributor in Spain. And we advise on any boat and brand: in our comparisons we honestly analyse Zodiac, Highfield, Williams, GALA, Castoldi and the rest — if another brand fits your case better, we will tell you.
